Voidling Bound offers a unique formula that successfully blends various influences in a generally compelling way. Its system of evolving creatures is clearly its greatest strength, as are its dynamic battles, which remain enjoyable for much of the adventure. The need to adapt to different types of enemies, the numerous possibilities offered by the skill trees, and the freedom given to the player to develop their team all contribute to an engaging experience. However, the game isn’t immune to certain issues of repetitiveness. The rapidly increasing difficulty sometimes forces you to repeat the same objectives over and over, while the lack of long-term variety in the missions eventually becomes noticeable.

Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis: Next! manages to provide a few hours of entertainment thanks to its accessible approach and its charming cast of characters from the brand’s famous franchises. The arcade-style tennis gameplay is generally well-executed, the special powers add a bit of personality to the matches, and the co-op mode is a welcome addition. However, the initial fun quickly fades due to extremely repetitive progression, limited content, and a clear lack of variety in the courts and activities on offer. The game constantly gives the impression that it could have offered so much more. I hope future updates will enhance the experience!

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight successfully celebrates the Dark Knight’s entire legacy while offering a modern, accessible adventure packed with content. Thanks to its excellent art direction, vast array of references, and open world that’s a joy to explore, the game easily ranks among the best LEGO titles of recent years. Admittedly, some side activities lack originality, and a few technical glitches occasionally slow down the pace of the adventure. However, these flaws remain relatively minor when you consider everything the game accomplishes. Although an online mode would have greatly enhanced the two-player experience. Ultimately, whether you’re a fan of the movies, the animated series, or the comic books, this title is well worth your attention.

Everything is Crab is an undeniable success both creatively and in terms of gameplay. The blend of Spore and Vampire Survivors works wonderfully, offering an accessible, addictive, and thoroughly original experience. The visual mutations are a brilliant idea that boosts replayability, and the gameplay loop is solid enough to keep you hooked for hours. However, the lack of variety in the environments, limited depth, and content that could be more substantial prevent the game from reaching the pinnacle of the genre. I sense enormous potential, but it remains only partially realized.

Directive 8020 isn’t a failure, but it’s also not the comeback that some were hoping for from Supermassive Games. The game offers a few notable improvements, particularly in terms of narrative structure and replayability. However, these strengths are constantly undermined by uneven execution, a plot that lacks restraint, and gameplay that struggles to justify its existence. More broadly, the title confirms a worrying trend for the studio, which seems to be finding it increasingly difficult to match the quality of its best productions.

Bus Bound is a game that succeeds in ways we didn’t necessarily expect, while failing to take a crucial step forward. The driving is enjoyable, the environment is immersive, and its accessible approach makes it an experience that’s easy to enjoy. There’s a real quality to this unapologetic simplicity, to this desire to offer a game that can be played without pressure and that focuses on immediate enjoyment. However, that same simplicity also becomes its main drawback. The lack of depth in the management mechanics, the lack of variety in progression, and the repetitiveness that gradually sets in prevent the game from truly holding up over the long term. It remains to be seen whether this feeling will fade with the updates and additional content planned for the coming months.

Forza Horizon 6 remains an excellent racing game. It’s beautiful, smooth, accessible, and offers an impressive amount of content. In fact, the online modes are well-designed, and the new menu makes them much easier to access. However, the game also feels like it’s playing it too safe by relying heavily on the foundations laid by its predecessors. For a new player, it’s an ideal entry point into the franchise. For veterans, it’s a return to familiar territory, with a few interesting detours, but no real surprises.

From the very beginning, I was really excited about Invincible VS. As a huge fan of the franchise, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the game. When you think about it, for a debut title, the studio has managed to deliver explosive, intense, and spectacular battles that truly do justice to the universe. The 3-on-3 combat system works a treat, the cast is compelling, and the visuals pack a punch. It all adds up to an obvious love letter to fans of the franchise. Unfortunately, all this potential is held back by content that’s far too thin to sustain the experience over the long term, particularly for players less interested in competitive multiplayer. It’s an excellent starting point for a potential sequel or for an experience that could grow over time.

Kiln is a frustrating game to review, because it’s impossible not to see the full potential of its concept. Its premise is brilliant, its pottery-making mechanics are ingenious, and its art direction is flawless. The foundations of an excellent multiplayer game are clearly there, and when everything works as intended, the experience can be genuinely fun. However, in its current state, the game mostly feels like it was released far too early. Its glaring lack of content, rapid repetitiveness, uninspiring progression, balancing issues, and—above all—an already concerning player base significantly limit the enjoyment it can offer. Despite its more-than-attractive price, Kiln remains, above all, an excellent idea that still needs a lot more work.

Vampire Crawlers could easily have been just another opportunistic spin-off riding on the coattails of Vampire Survivors’ popularity. Instead, the developers have delivered a surprisingly clever reimagining of their own formula, one that manages to capture the essence of the original while offering a distinct and compelling experience. The concept works wonderfully well, the art direction is superb, the gameplay is extremely satisfying, and the wealth of content will instantly delight longtime fans. Nevertheless, it’s true that the game does become a bit more repetitive and doesn’t quite reach that same level of almost addictive obsession that turned its predecessor into a phenomenon.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire succeeds where many games with visually striking concepts fall short. It isn’t just visually original; it’s also a joy to play. The experience is driven by simply exceptional art direction, fast-paced and extremely satisfying gameplay, and a masterfully executed film noir atmosphere. This title from Fumi Games stands out as one of the most memorable and refreshing FPS games of the year. Admittedly, its investigation system takes a backseat more than one might have hoped, and the game drags a bit toward the end, but these flaws are minor compared to the overall quality of the experience.

Tides of Tomorrow is a game that gets a lot right, though it doesn’t quite reach the level of excellence. Its story is touching, its world is well-crafted, and its art direction is particularly inspired. The Story-Link system brings a genuine sense of originality, even if it shows its limitations over time, and the gameplay loop could have used a bit more variety. The game’s length is well-balanced, and the experience remains enjoyable from start to finish, but certain decisions prevent it from taking things to the next level—particularly in terms of replayability and the depth of certain systems. Nevertheless, this is a solid, sincere offering that is clearly worth checking out for fans of narrative-driven games.

Darwin’s Paradox! is the perfect example of a game driven by an excellent idea but held back by its execution. Its art direction, soundtrack, and concept make it a memorable experience in many ways. Unfortunately, its imprecise controls, inconsistent AI, and short playtime prevent it from truly leaving a lasting impression. It leaves you feeling a bit unsatisfied. Nevertheless, I’m convinced this is just the first step for this young studio, which clearly demonstrates with this title that it’s not lacking in talent or ideas.

Ultimately, what stands out about Hozy is a sense of untapped potential. The game has a solid foundation, a strong visual identity, and a well-crafted atmosphere, but it ends too soon. It feels more like an extended demo than a full-fledged experience, which is all the more frustrating given that you can tell there was potential for so much more. With more content, more precise controls, and, above all, the addition of a sandbox mode, the game could have established itself as a benchmark in the genre.

MLB The Show 26 offers gameplay that’s as solid as ever, comprehensive game modes, and exemplary accessibility. For someone new to the series, it’s undoubtedly a great place to start. However, for regular players, the picture is more nuanced. The lack of real innovations, the aging technical execution, and online issues give the impression of a franchise that is taking more steps backward than forward.

With Docked, the developers have created a surprisingly well-crafted port simulation. The game impresses with its meticulously designed industrial environments, realistic vehicles, and effective blend of driving and resource management. Even though some missions can feel repetitive and the game’s lifespan is a bit short, the experience remains enjoyable from start to finish. I would have liked, however, to be able to continue operating the port once the campaign was over. A sandbox mode would also have turned the experience into a true playground for simulation enthusiasts. The foundation is solid; now it’s just a matter of polishing the title with updates or additional content to prove that even the most technical industrial activities can become surprisingly captivating.

WWE 2K26 continues to refine the formula established in recent entries, offering a massive amount of content and a roster featuring hundreds of WWE superstars. The core gameplay remains satisfying once players master the timing of counters, and modes like MyGM and the career-style story mode add meaningful variety. Presentation is still a strong point, with detailed arenas and authentic entrances that capture the feel of WWE broadcasts. While some animations show their age and the seasonal content model raises questions for the future, the game stands as one of the most content-rich entries in the series

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a promising beat ’em up from Tribute Games that captures the spirit of classic arcade brawlers while embracing Marvel’s cosmic universe. Its pixel-art presentation, cooperative gameplay, and accessible combat system make it immediately fun to pick up, especially in multiplayer. While the gameplay loop can become repetitive over time and the difficulty curve stays fairly forgiving, the charm of the characters and fast-paced action keep the experience entertaining. Overall, it’s a nostalgic yet modern superhero brawler that arcade-style action fans will appreciate.

Project Motor Racing aims to deliver a realistic and accessible racing simulation, with solid driving physics and a focus on track authenticity. While the core handling model can feel satisfying for simulation fans, the overall experience lacks momentum due to limited content variety and presentation that feels somewhat dated. Career progression and game modes don’t offer enough depth to keep players engaged over the long term. Despite its good intentions and technical foundation, the game struggles to stand out in a highly competitive racing-sim genre.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 delivers a huge amount of content across its campaign, multiplayer and zombies modes with impressive visuals and ambitious ideas. The campaign tries to create psychological horror and succeeds at times, but the absence of a pause option, unreliable saves, missing partner characters in solo missions and uneven pacing can make it frustrating. Multiplayer and zombies remain the most enjoyable parts with satisfying gunplay, good movement and plenty of variety, even if some maps feel unbalanced and the twenty versus twenty mode needs tuning. Overall it is a generous but uneven package.
