Visions of Four Heroes doesn’t reinvent Dynasty Warriors: Origins, but it smartly expands its narrative world and introduces gameplay ideas that show Omega Force’s desire to experiment without losing its identity. New weapons, the central hub, and Strategic Battles are more than cosmetic additions—they mark an evolving direction for the series. Despite some limits, especially the lack of new maps, the DLC is solid, content‑rich, and offers a fresh perspective that enhances both characters and world-building. For fans of Origins, it’s a worthwhile return to the battlefield; for Omega Force, another step toward creative maturity.

Critiquing a game is always tough, especially when it's the result of hard work. However, Everreach: Project Eden falls short in all its ambitious goals. It's a bland third-person shooter, lacks depth in its RPG elements, and has poor game design. With numerous issues, it's hard to justify even its low price.

I won't beat around the bush: Dragon Ball: The Breakers is insufficient in every aspect, lacking both in gameplay and technical quality. Bandai Namco's work does little to entertain, confined to a single game mode plagued by imbalance, making most matches frustrating. The core idea isn't bad, but without content updates and fixes, it's unlikely this asynchronous multiplayer offshoot of Akira Toriyama's work will last long.

45 / 100 - Stray Souls
Oct 31, 2023

Stray Souls is a bad game without any excuses, squandering its interesting premise in minutes. With incomprehensible design choices, a nonsensical script, and buggy gameplay, Jukai Studio's debut is forgettable. A failed horror game on all fronts, unable to create the disturbing atmosphere it aimed for. Maybe next time.

45 / 100 - Bulletstorm VR
Jan 25, 2024

If People Can Fly and Incuvo thought Bulletstorm VR would revive this franchise, they've miscalculated. Despite maintaining its intrinsic fun, the return of Grayson and company falls short due to a disastrous technical state. The lower difficulty from VR controls is tolerable, but the multitude of problems, including constant crashes and save errors, make it unplayable. It's a wasted opportunity unless the development team fixes these issues. For now, stay away from Bulletstorm VR until it's playable.

The Shore: Enhanced Edition thrives on contrasts: mesmerizing when it leans into pure visual suggestion, but fragile whenever it tries to function as a traditional videogame. Its love for Lovecraft’s imagery is clear and often infectious, pulling the player into a marine nightmare of cyclopean ruins, unknowable gods, and distorted memories. Yet its striking aesthetics can’t fully compensate for a fragmented narrative and a gameplay loop that never finds a stable identity, wavering between walking simulator and puzzle game without excelling at either. The result is a sincere and ambitious project, impressive in style but unable to turn its potential into a fully realized experience. A short, imperfect journey that will still resonate with those who value atmosphere over mechanical depth.

50 / 100 - EBOLA VILLAGE
Feb 3, 2026

Ebola Village tries hard but never really succeeds. It borrows all the classic Resident Evil elements, yet the final result falls short despite Indie Games Studio’s passion and effort. The limited budget shows, and the game would have benefited from revisiting both its design choices and its script. With several issues packed into its three-hour runtime, it’s far from a solid survival horror. Still, there are glimpses of potential: the gunplay works, dismembering enemies is fun, and the atmosphere—though heavily derivative—hits the right notes. Viktor Trokhin clearly has talent, especially as a solo developer, but he needs someone to help channel it better. Maybe a fifth chapter will finally let him shine.

Dreams of Another dares to reimagine what a video game can be. Driven by poetic visions and fragments of dreams, it enchants with its aesthetics and soundtrack but struggles under the weight of its ambition. Repetitive gameplay and fragmented storytelling may alienate those seeking a more cohesive experience. It's a digital art piece for experimental minds—beautiful, yet perhaps too fleeting to leave a lasting mark.

50 / 100 - Tron: Catalyst
Jun 23, 2025

TRON: Catalyst is a visually faithful but ultimately underwhelming attempt to expand Disney’s digital universe. While the story and atmosphere capture the essence of the saga, the gameplay falls flat. Repetitive combat, a basic move set for Exo, uninspired level design, and minimal use of the iconic light cycles make the experience feel dull. Even the time-bending Glitch ability is underused, leaving the game appealing mainly to die-hard fans willing to overlook its flaws for a deeper dive into the Grid.

50 / 100 - Battle Group 2
Oct 29, 2018

Battle Group 2 suffers from a hasty mobile-to-console conversion, resulting in a linear and simple game that lacks polish. It could have been better with more attention to the new platform.

Fast Striker feels outdated on PS4 and PS Vita, offering a basic shooter experience. While it has interesting elements, simplistic design choices hold it back.

Golf With Your Friends didn't convince me. While the core idea and some gameplay elements are fun, design choices and execution flaws prevent it from reaching its potential. It's a missed opportunity.

50 / 100 - Paper Dolls 2

Paper Dolls 2 has good intentions but stumbles repeatedly. Setting and structure are interesting, but gameplay needs refinement. Localization limits make puzzles challenging, and the combat system is cumbersome and punitive, which may discourage players.

50 / 100 - Dolmen
May 30, 2022

The phrase "has potential but doesn't apply itself" could be reversed to describe Dolmen's final result. Massive Work Studio's title showcases great effort and ideas that, while not groundbreaking, outline a game where undeniable commitment clashes with forgettable overall execution. Interesting ideas related to the combat system are limited by its execution, which feels too clunky and rudimentary. Combined with fairly anonymous design, Dolmen is hard to recommend for those who've already exhausted Elden Ring. It's a brave debut, perhaps too much so, but the talent is there. I'm personally curious to see the team at work again, maybe on a project more within their reach.
