Forza Horizon 6 Reviews
Playground Games does it again: equal parts adept teacher and artisanal tour guide, Forza Horizon 6 takes the lessons from 14 years of series history and applies them with panache.
The new standard in open-world racing is here, and it’s a gundamn masterpiece.
It would be easy to say that Forza Horizon 6 is simply the best version of itself so far, and leave it at that, but that undersells what it truly achieves. It is an accumulation of its past five iterations, but somehow remains light on its feet.
In a lot of ways, this is my ideal video game. Becoming one with the controller and the vehicle in a drop-dead-gorgeous setting that essentially never runs out of content? It’s almost perfect, and I think it’s fair to use that word for the craft that is on display in Forza Horizon 6.
Forza Horizon 6 is a master class in car culture with technical driving and customization running through its veins, a gargantuan amount of modes to jump into, and an accessible seamlessness to it all. For seasoned veterans, it's easily the best in the series, and for those getting their first taste of Horizon, it'll be the best racing game you've jumped into in a long time. $47.88 at HRKGame Int $69.99 at Amazon $69.99 at Target $69.99 at GameStop
Forza Horizon 6 is the series at its best, combining meaningful progression with the franchise's strongest open world yet.
Forza Horizon 5 was already an exceptional racing game, but Forza Horizon 6 takes everything up a notch to deliver an even more engaging, entertaining and all-encompassing experience. There's an absolute wealth of racing, exploring and collecting to do here, and that's before the inevitable live-service updates start adding even more content. Few games are as essential as this.
Forza Horizon 6 brings together everything from previous Forza Horizon titles and fine-tunes them to a perfect shine, set in a compressed Japan that is both gorgeous to behold and pure joy to race around.
Furthermore, there's something important here: Forza Horizon 6 isn't just going to appeal to longtime fans of the series. This game has the potential to also attract players coming from Need for Speed , DIRT , or any other semi-arcade or arcade racing game. Because there's nothing else on the market right now that does this as well as Playground Games does.

With Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games has done what I thought was impossible and improved upon the near-perfection of the previous two Horizon games.
Forza Horizon 6 is everything you want in a driving game. It’s big, beautiful, and backs up what it boasts. This is a top-tier racing experience.
The real beauty of Forza Horizon 6 is in how the Japanese world feels alive, and how rewarding it is to just go bimbling about. FH6 was always going to be an easy sell, and a reskinned FH5 would probably have sufficed, but Playground Games have smashed it out of the park. The world is great, the cars are amazing, and the racing action, whether on the streets, on the track, or in the wilds, is second to none.
To no one’s surprise, Forza Horizon 6 provides the best racing experience this year - even if Grand Theft Auto VI hits.
Playground Games has proven once again that they are not only the kings of the racing genre, but that the core formula of the Forza Horizon series is so strong that they barely need to reinvent it. Forza Horizon 6 is the complete racing package, delivering everything fans could want and more. It's hard to imagine how Playground Games can improve on this formula going forward, but if their track record is anything to go by, they'll find a way.

his may not be the biggest leap in the series' history, but it is easily one of its best installments, and an open-world racing experience that is currently difficult for competitors to match, especially since it takes place in Japan, which gave the game a special flavor.

Forza Horizon 6 is beautiful, vast, engaging, exhilarating, all while being simultaneously informative. It continues to celebrate cars and car culture in a way that is simply unmatched in the industry.
Playground Games has once again set the gold standard for racing games, surpassing all it did with Forza Horizon 5, and making the sixth installment a benchmark not only for the genre, but for open-world driving experiences as a whole.
Every mile I drive in my cars is pure fun, pure adrenaline, or pure relaxation. Simply put: a masterpiece for anyone who loves cars and Japan.
