As a whole, Winx Club: The Magic Is Back is a short, harmless and very basic tie‑in that younger players may enjoy for its ease and familiarity but it lacks the magic and polish to truly satisfy long‑time fans. It's one of those games that feels more like a cash grab opposed to a game made for kids and sadly (even though we finished it), my daughters were a little underwhelmed and without co-op play, we would have missed the finish.

New Super Lucky's Tale on PlayStation 5 is a charming, polished and technically a remaster of the original game that benefits greatly from the console's capabilities. It may not offer surprises for those familiar with earlier versions but it delivers an uber‑fun gaming experience that is sorely needed

Whether you're a fan or an old hand at Mortal Kombat, the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is unmissable. There is a vigorously faithful and feature rich adherence to preserving the core aspects of the original arcade versions of the Mortal Kombat games, as well as bringing along intriguing PS1 spin-offs and early 00s Gameboy Advance titles. If you're looking for more modern entries you will be disappointed, but if you appreciate the legacy and the history of the Mortal Kombat franchise, this is an impressive and essential collection that ought to be a precedent for other retro videogame collections developed in the future.

If you're looking for a reason to re-visit the Stellar Blade universe on PS5, this is a fun installment, although very short but still worth the entry price. Nonetheless, there's plenty to collect and, if you enjoy Goddess of Victory: Nikke, it's a match made in gaming heaven.

Train Sim World is an experience, on one hand it’s unparalleled detail in train, station, rail design is an amazing feat. But at the cost of leaving the world around it feeling a little flat, leaves me with a taste in my mouth that I’m not sure if I love it or hate it.

There is a meaningful tale behind it all, but Baby Steps more often than not makes you feel sorry for Nate and the odds are always stacked against you-just like Nate. Give it a go then, but nobody should blame if you take one trip too many and just don’t feel like continuing the repetitive trudge.

You might come into Tamagotchi Plaza feeling like you’ll be lightly entertained, but all too soon you’ll reach the conclusion that there’s barely anything here that’ll keep your attention for long.

Simply put, this is another one of those “release to every platform” dump and burns that gave no consideration to the limits and designs of the title vs the platform.

Despite some friction from voice acting and annoying puzzle bits, I think this is a solid experience worth enjoying on PS5.

It Takes Two is a fun cooperative game on the PlayStation that is filled with consistent surprises and delights, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're playing with a significant other, a friend or a family member, It Takes Two is an essential title for any PS5 owner who is looking for a cooperative challenge and from an incredible moving perspective from a story point of view that can easily be knocked over in a few binge gaming sessions.

Nov 24, 2024

Is Planet Coaster 2 going to replace the original as my go-to park builder just yet? No, but it almost definitely will in the future. It’s early days, and to discredit the work that Frontier has put into Planet Coaster 2 would do them a huge disservice – there simply aren’t any other studios out there that push out such quality games. It’s still a way off becoming the ultimate theme park builder, but if other Frontier titles are to go by, give it a little time (and a little polish) and Planet Coaster 2 will undoubtedly be the sandbox my dreams.

Because you shouldn’t play Redfall. It is a middling game at best, but at worst it will take precious time away from other games, hobbies, or conversations you could be having that will hold so much more meaning than this release.

Peppa Pig World Adventures on the Xbox Series is a fun game for younger gamers and is the perfect match if they love the TV series Peppa Pig. All in all, it successfully creates an interactive Peppa Pig experience with basic gaming mechanics.

Although not the worst movie tie-in-game, DC League of Super-Pets The Adventures of Krypto and Ace does have its moments that again is for that younger gamer. Nonetheless, a canine distraction of not-quite super-heroic proportions!

All in all, this game is off to a great start and hopefully Gameloft add voices to the dialogue as the game is quite text heavy and it would be great to hear Mickey, Buzz or Moana talk and sound like their related filmcounterparts. Even so, the text is clever and quite witty at times with a healthy dose of humour thrown into the mix.

Dawn of Ragnarök tries so hard to tell an epic tale of revenge and redemption but fails in its execution. Perhaps because Ubisoft has already told the same story too many times since Assassin's Creed 2. The DLC is like a Norse theme park: beautiful to look at and good for taking a break from the world, but devoid of any significant long-lasting value for anyone except hardcore Assassin's Creed Valhalla fans.

If you're seeking something classic or want to travel back in time to a simpler area of gaming, then this collection is for you. While I had great fun revisiting these and even finishing them as I could never complete Lion King or Jungle Book in the day, the tweaks definitely allowed for this. However I have been spoiled for gaming since then and the gameplay does become repetitive but still a fun experience that is like the virtual coffee book of gaming.

Kudos to developers Outright Games for bringing Peppa into the world gaming who perfectly bring this franchise to life on this medium. It also encourages exploration, some trial and error but rest assured, it never becomes too difficult and is more about the world of our favourite piglet plus interacting with it. So if you have a younger gamer who loves Peppa, then check out My Friend Peppa Pig The Video Game!

"Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2" is a very successful remake of two cult classic games, bringing life into a long-lost genre of gaming. While there have been skating games since their original release, the "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" games have always been in a league of their own, and this remake further proves just how awesome they are. Players of all ages and skill levels will have hours of fun exploring the fully modernized skate parks, trying their best to complete the list of challenges in each level. I recommend this game to anyone who wants something different that is also challenging and might be limited to how much continuous game time they have available.
